My name is Steve Cal' and I am a guitarist, singer, and songwriter hailing from Philadelphia, PA. I was drawn to learning the guitar at age eight after hearing the song 'Samba Pa Ti' by Carlos Santana. In 2003 during my final year of elementary school I was chosen to be the guitarist for the Kimmel Center Youth Jazz Ensemble in Philadelphia. As a young guitarist this was a wonderful period of musical development for me. Some years later I formed The Steve Cal' Band with some of my fellow University Of The Arts classmates. In 2013 we released our first CD which featured mostly original songs. I continue to write, record, and perform with The Steve Cal' Band while also working as a freelance musician.
Take a look around the new site, and I hope you can come see me play sometime and say hello!
